Adviser to Iranian president commented on insult against Azerbaijan's flag

“No obstacle can pose problems between the two countries,"said Adviser to Iranian President, Chairman of the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations Mehdi Mustafavi commenting to the insult against the Azerbaijani flag on Iran’s Sahar TV.

“Fortunately, media organizations of both countries have strong and extensive relations and are working to extend their friendly relations even more. We have clear and bright view on future and aim to intensify cooperation between the two countries. High-level visits between the two countries are good example of the strong relations. We are trying to develop the cultural relations," he said.

Video tapes and articles placed on the Internet pages of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and its Sahar TV purposefully distorted the Azerbaijani domestic and foreign policy and insulted country's national flag and slandered against the members of Azerbaijani Government and parliament and other officials.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan sent a note of protest to Iran regarding this issue.
