Azerbaijani registers over 3,000 candidates for municipal elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) said 3,430 people have already started signature collection campaign. These candidates have been registered from 93 election constituencies for 695 municipalities: 494 of them are women.

The CEC said 1,715 people put forward their candidacies themselves; 28 have been nominated by the initiative group of voters, 1,138 by New Azerbaijan Party, 139 by Umid Party, 14 by Civil Solidarity Party, 2 by Liberal Democratic Party, 4 by Great Establishment Party, 1 by Civil Unity Party, 1 by Ana Vatan Party and 1 by Social Democrat Party.
