Azerbaijan's health ministry conducts checks in private health care institutions

Azerbaijan's health ministry has conducted checks in private health care institutions.
The Health Ministry of Azerbaijan monitored the fulfillment of Cabinet of Ministers’ orders for changing “Additional terms for special permission (license) depending on the forms of activity”, “Approval of terms for private medical experience of foreigners and permanent residents of Azerbaijan not having citizenship” and “List of professions and posts used in the offices of the Health Ministry”.

The ministry said 8,460 job places were created at 247 private ambulatory and 56 private ambulatory-stationary clinics (except dentist services).

A total of 2,538 of them are positions of doctors, 4,230 – assistant nurses and 1,692 – other workers.

A total of 21 medical workers were dismissed at 11 private clinics because of lack of experience. They were provided with other jobs.

The list of medical posts at 200 private clinics was coordinated.

A total of 8 private clinics asked for creating conditions for short-term treatment and checkup by foreign doctors and three experts were already allowed to provide services in a for a certain period.
