Czech Republic supports strengthening of cooperation with Azerbaijan: Chairman of Senate

"The prospects of strategic partnership are obvious and clear. During the Czech EU presidency, we have attached much attention to this matter. The EU Eastern Partnership program was one of our main priorities. At present, we want to continue strengthening this cooperation, that it should not be forgotten, because these contacts should be developed further," Sobotka told reporters.

The Czech delegation headed by Sobotka arrived in Azerbaijan on Sept. 23.

The visit targets holding negotiations on the development of the Czech and Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary relations.

Sobotka said that the program of the visit is interesting and a lot of meetings have been scheduled.

During the visit, Sobotka will hold a series of meetings at the Azerbaijani Parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Ministry, visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Baku Slavic University and attend opening of the Azerbaijani-Czech Business Forum.
