Ian Micallef to report on his mission to Azerbaijan

The President a.i. of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will submit a detailed report on the results of the visit to Azerbaijan on Sept. 21 at the next Bureau meeting of the Congress in Strasbourg, statement posted to the Council of Europe's official Web site says.
Micallef's official visit to Baku started on Sept. 10 and lasted through Sept. 14.

During the visit, he held meetings with the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, Deputy Minister of Justice, Deputy Foreign Minister, Vice-Speaker of Parliament, the Azerbaijani delegation to the Council of Europe, opposition parties and NGOs.
