Council of Europe representative appreciates Azerbaijan's efforts to develop municipalities

At a meeting with Deputy Justice Minister of Azerbaijan Vilayat Zahirov, President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Council of Europe Ian Micallef approved the measures to strengthen the role of national associations, town, village and rural municipalities, as well as expressed hope for the active participation of Azerbaijan in the Conference on climate change to be held in December in Copenhagen.

The deputy minister informed the guest about efforts aimed at improving activities of municipalities and improvement of national legislation.
