The issues of sub-regional cooperation will be discussed at the informal summit of Azerbaijani, Russian, Kazakh and Turkmen Presidents in Aktau, Azerbaijani ambassador to Kazakhstan Latif Gandilov said.
"We are near-boundary countries. Our leaders meet with each other at informal meetings. As we have common borders, there are many common issues we should discuss," Gandilov said.

He said that the agenda of the summit in Aktau includes near-boundary and sub-regional cooperation.

"Problems regarding energy and transport are planned to be considered," the diplomat said.

Ambassador said that the informal meeting envisages discussion of any matter between the countries.

Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Russian and Turkmen Presidents will participate in the informal summit to be held in Aktau on Sept. 11 to 13.
