Kazakhstan appoints new foreign minister

Kanat Saudabayev appointed Kazakh foreign minister upon the Kazakh President's decree on Sept. 4.
Previously he worked state secretary, KazTAG reported.

Formerly Saudabayev, 63, served also as chairman of the Kazakh State Committee on Cinematography, chairman of the Kazakh State Committee on Culture, foreign minister, head of chancellery of Prime Minister, Kazakh ambassador to Turkey, Great Britain and the U.S.

He worked as Kazakh secretary of state since May 2007.
