Criticism by co-reporter on Azerbaijan not reflects real state of affairs: MP

Such international organization as the Council of Europe and its representatives must demonstrate impartiality towards member states, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the CE Parliamentary Assembly and MP Ganira Pashayeva told ruling New Azerbaijan Party's official Web site.
"Co-reporter on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel's criticisms towards our country does not reflect real state of affairs," Pashayeva said.

Azerbaijan was more free country five years ago, Andrea Herkel told media earlier.

Herkel was appointed co-reporter on Azerbaijan in 2004.

Azerbaijan advances successfully in development of democracy and work in this sphere must be appreciated, Pashayeva said.
