“First swine flu case revealed in Azerbaijan will not have any impact of application for Hajj pilgrimage,” Caucasus Muslims Office official Mugaddas Payizov said.

He said the office proceeds with receiving pilgrimage applications.
“Those who wish to pilgrim to Mecca are submitting applications. The number of application has remained unchanged compared to previous years,” Payizov said.
He said the application will be received until the quota allocated for the pilgrimage is fulfilled.
‘The quota of 300 people to head for Mecca by bus has been fulfilled. But application for travel by plane is still going on,” Payizov said.
This year Caucasus Muslims Office reduced the quota for travel to Hajj from 6,000 to 2,000 people. Prices for the trip to Mecca is not changed. Thus, travel by bus will cost 2,000 manat and by airplane 3500-5000 manat.
