Move over, Carla Bruni

Watch out, Carlo Bruni, there is a foxy new lady in town. Mehriban Aliyeva, wife of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev (right) is a 44-year-old mother of three, grandmother of two, a qualified doctor, magazine founder, former elected President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, a Golden Heart International Award winner for her philanthropic credentials and a Unesco good-will ambassador. Phew. There has been much task that Sarah Brown is being drafted in to pep up her beleaguered husband’s image – perhaps he is now hoping to bask in the reflected glory of this Azerbaijani superwoman, too?
