Azerbaijan-Pakistan ties to be discussed in Baku: ambassador

Meeting of Azerbaijani-Pakistani intergovernmental commission will be held in Baku in September.

Bilateral relations in all spheres will be discussed, as well as new decisions will be adopted atthis meeting, Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Eynulla Madatli said.

"The first vice prime minister will represent Azerbaijan. But minister of oil and natural resources will represent Pakistani," ambassador told Trend News at the international conference on anniversary of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry on July 8.  

Ambassador stressed stable development of relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan especially within the last year.

Azerbaijan and Pakistan signed the agreement on military cooperation. Turnover between countries hit $4.7 million in January-April.

Secretary of Pakistani defense ministry, commanderof naval forces and head of general staff of Pakistani air forces expected to visit Azerbaijani in the coming months, the ambassador said.

Sides expect Azerbaijani representatives to visit Pakistan, ambassador said.

A diplomatic town will be set up for employees of the Azerbaijani embassy in Islamabad, he said. Administrative buildings, residence of the embassy, building for employees of the embassy will be located there.

"I hope for our representatives to attend inauguration ceremony," ambassador said.
