I do not see radical worsening of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan connected with the visit of Shimon Peres to Baku, said political scientist Rasim Musabeyov commenting on the visit of Israeli President Shimon Peres to Azerbaijan.

"His visit to Baku will certainly affect the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran in the sense that Azerbaijan has demonstrated that we are a sovereign state, taking sovereign decisions, without taking into account someone's opinion", announced he.
"Perhaps, some joint projects between Iran and Azerbaijan will be postponed for a time being. But the internal and external situation in Iran does not propose the open arguing with Azerbaijan", noted the political scientist.
Earlier some officials of Iran spoke against the visit of President of Israel to Azerbaijan.
"As for prospects of development of bilateral ties between Israel and Azerbaijan, they are positive. Israel is a very important partner for Azerbaijan. Israel can share its experience with Azerbaijan in most spheres, provide political support. Azerbaijan in turn might make a large contribution to relations with Israel. This implies both energy security. Another important component in the development of bilateral ties between Israel and Azerbaijan is a human contact", announced he.
"But only good will and intentions of the parties will not do for the development of bilateral relations. These intentions must come true", concluded Musabeyov.
Notably, President of Israel Shimon Peres arrived in Baku Sunday.
