Washington to discuss US policy in Caspian

A special event on the US policy in the Caspian region will be held in the US-Azerbaijan commercial chamber in Washington. It will involve special envoy of the US president on Eurasian energy issues, ambassador Richard Morningstar.

Speaking at the event, Morningstar will define parameters of his new mandate and also share views on the energy issues in the Caspian region.

The event participants will also discuss the recent processes in the Caspian region, restoration of ecological balance, protection of biological resources, agreements on protection of the water reservoir and other issues.

Morningstar was appointed as the special envoy of the US president on Eurasian energy issues by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
