Azerbaijan has perspectives to integrate with international area: Presidential Administration Head

Azerbaijan has perspectives to integrate with the European area, area of the CIS and Turkic-Speaking countries, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Head Ramiz Mehdiyev said during his speech at the international scientific conference on "Common views for new mind in contemporary world" in Baku on May 2.

"Therefore, we should create a world view, form the unified methodological system and conduct research in philosophy and science," he said.

Mehdiyev believes it is necessary to develop regional relations in globalization process, because approach of the European and Eastern philosophy has been already felt.

Mehdiyev does not consider the current level of development of philosophical thought as satisfactory in Azerbaijan. "Since the great success was achieved in various spheres of public life in the context of progress, the level of research is very weak in the field of philosophy," he said.

"In the period when dynamism is required in the processes, while there are not specific strategic programs and concepts in politics, economics, sociology, the main goal should be to develop public programs. Philosophers have to find a program to raise our consciousness. Society must realize the role and place of science and culture in its life. Philosophical thought, especially, should be directed to eliminate problems in society," Mehdiyev said.
