OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs condemn violation of ceasefire ion contact line between troops on February 26

A special statement was issued in the OSCE Permanent Council regarding the violation of ceasefire on February 26, 2009 near Horadiz settlement of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli Region. US co-chair Matthew Bryza read the statement: “We condemn the violation of ceasefire during the OSCE monitoring mission. Local commanders have given written guarantee for security of the mission before the monitoring. We call on the parts to observe the ceasefire regime and regrettably stated that 30 people died and 50 wounded as a result of ceasefire violation in 2008.

The OSCE Minsk Group also called on the parts to investigate the incident.
