Fuad Akhundov: "Developed and mutually profitable Azerbaijani-Russian relations are also important for Europe"

"Developed trade and economic relations (with commodity turnover topping $2 bln by results of the last year), the comprehensice humanitarian cooperation, trustful political dialogue on the high level and constructive interaction on the international arena are important elements of the foundation, forming a basis of strategic partnership between Baku and Moscow", said Fuad Akhundov, according to Interfax-Azerbaijan.

"On the other hand, it is important to take into account that the relations of strategic partnership between our countries is among the key factors of political stability and security in a wider and very sensitive for Russia regional context - in the Caucasus, Caspian region and Near Easy", added je.

The representative of the presidential administration noting the growing role of Azerbaijan in the European energy policy said that the developed and mutually profitable Azerbaijani-Russian relations are important for Europe as well".

According to Akhundov, the recent visit of the representative Russian delegation headed with chief of the Russian presidential administration Narishkin to Azerbaijan proves Moscow's readiness to fill the strategic partnership between Baku and Moscow with a new sense.
