Bahar Muradova: "The interest of all countries in establishment of peace in the South Caucasus is very important"

Azerbaijan wants to live in conditions of peace in the region, said Bahar Muradova, vice speaker of the parliament, leader of the Azerbaijani delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Bahar Muradova at the meeting with special representative of the president of OSCE PA on Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Georgia Goran Lennmarker.

"The interest of all states in establishment of peace in the South Caucasus is important", noted she.

According to Muradova, the report, prepared by the special representative of the OSCE PA president by results of the visit to the region, will create a good opportunity for discussing the issue of creation of a new architecture of European security to be included on the agenda of the OSCE PA winter session to open in Vienna these days.

According to the vice speaker, issues to be reflected in the report, are interesting for Azerbaijan. She said OSCE and other international organizations, highly evaluating economic development and natural resources of Azerbaijan must support official Baku in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

Lennmarker in turn noted that the South Caucasus region is of great importance for Europe and Azerbaijan plays a special role in this issue, as a developing state.

Speaking about Nagorno Karabakh conflict special representative of the OSCE PA president noted that the OSCE MInsk Group searches ways of peaceful resolution of the Karabakh issue. But will and mutual concessions of the conflict parties are needed for the success in peace negotiations", said Lennmarker.
