The gas crisis between Russia and Ukraine has again put Azerbaijan to the center of attention in the world, said head of the center for political innovations and technologies Mubariz Ahmedoghlu at a press conference on political outcomes of January.
He considers that Azerbaijan was always viewed as a transit country but after the gas crisis it has become a country on which serious hopes are laid.
"The gas crisis has serious affected the image of both Russia and Ukraine as a partner. Most projects of Gazprom in Europe were stopped through temporarily. The lobby activity of Gazprom in Europe was annulled. On this background Azerbaijan is a reliable partner with whom serious plans could be built", said Ahmedoghlu.
