Ramil Usubov: "In 2008 Azerbaijan remained one of the calmest and safest countries in the CIS and Eastern Europe by criminality level"

"Like in previous years in 2008 Azerbaijan remained one of the calmest and safest countries in the CIS and Eastern Europe by criminality level", said Interior Minister Ramil Usubov during today's collegium in the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan.

On the whole, according to Usubov, the clear-up rate in 2008 made  82.2% in Azerbaijan.

The number of road accidents reduced 4.4%, number of road accidents with lethal outcome by 5.5% in 2008 over the previous year.

Ramil Usubov voiced confidence that in the future the stability in the country, ensured by the Interior Ministry officials, will be preserved on a high level.
