President Ilham Aliyev, widely covering the issues of energy security in the world and Azerbaijan's role in this issue, announced that our country supports resolution of these problems.

"Azerbaijan is striving to define energy prices, favorable for all parties and to provide multilateral assistance to energy security. These two important issues are closely connected with each others.

5-6 years ago we did not hold substantial talks about the issues of energy security. Currently these issues have turned into a serious problem for producing countries, consumers and transit states", noted Ilham Aliyev.

The head of the state stressed importance of consolidating efforts of all producing countries, consumers and transit states as well as works to attain mutual understanding in this direction.

"Currently the gas extraction in our country fully covers the current infrastructure and markets. In the near future Azerbaijan will produce large volumes of gas. In the next 5 years gas production will rise twofold in the country", said Ilham Aliyev.
