World Azerbaijanis Congress adopts program of strengthening ties with Russian diaspora

As is reported, events with participation of Azerbaijani intelletuals were held in the framework of the visit. They included WAC representatives: Mirashraf Fatiyev, Rahman Abbasoc, Tahir Hajiyev, academician Zahid Gojayev, professors Ahmed Abilov, Tofik Gandilov, Ismikhan Gahramanov, Vugar Baghirov, editor-in-chief of Azerbaijani diaspora newspaper Oqtay Huseynov, as well as honored art figure Alla Akhundova.

During the event, the participants discussed problems, facing Azerbaijanis in Russia, exchanged views regarding issues facing the organization and adopted a general program on strengthening ties with Russian diaspora.

The program accentuated on problems facing Azerbaijanis in the educational system, their integration with public and holding events with the purpose of informing the Russian public of the truth about the Karabakh problem.
