Yeni Azerbaijan party not to create bloc in period of agitation on holding a referendum

"Yeni Azerbaijan party will not cooperate with any party in agitation due to the conduction of a referendum of amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan", said deputy executive secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan party Mubariz Gurbanly, commenting on the statements of several parties about the statements of several parties about cooperation in period of agitation.

He said on the party basis the Yeni Azerbaijan party does not envision cooperation with any party.

"We are currently not negotiating with the parties. Our agitation group is registered in the Central Election Commission, therefore we can hold our agitation from February 19. Naturally, it is not ruled out that there will be party with no party belonging among them, yet we do not intend to create a coalition or a bloc with them.

Moreover, the party has a ready program on holding an agitation, separate representatives of the party have been given due instructions on the spots. These parties have a right to create agitation groups and take part in this process as they wish", said Gurbanly.

Notably, representatives of the Ana Veten, Yurddash, Vahdat and Tereggi party earlier stated the intention to hold a joint agitation. The referendum on amendments to Constitution is planned to be held on March 18.
