Fikret Sadikhov: "Azerbaijan is not against Israel, it just calls for the fair resolution of this conflict"

"Israel is responsible for the next round of tensions in Gaza, as it is brutally killing the civilians of Palestine: innocent women, children and elderly people. Hundreds of killed civilians of Palestine is not the price that Israel should have paid for the settlement of their problems with Hamas", said political scientist Fikret Sadikhov.

He said he is sorry about the citizens of Israel as it is not difficult to predict the number of terror acts in Israel to be organized by those Palestinians, whose fathers, mothers and children are killed by the Israeli army.

"Certainly, it is also difficult to justify Hamas radicalism, but it was Israel who raised these radicals by its policy of non-admission of appearance of a Palestinian state, cynical and self-confident ignoring of international documents and resolutions.

Believe me, people, who have no way out and are obliged to defend not only their territorial integrity but also their lives, their genofond, which we are witnessing now, do not have a choice of models of conduct. And the current actions of the Israeli army will lead to the greater radicalization of the Palestinian society", said the political scientist.

As for the position of Azerbaijan, considering the statement of the Foreign Ministry of our country that Azerbaijan supports Palestinian  efforts for creation of an independent Palestinian state, Sadikhov said that the statement of official Baku on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is an inevitable reality, which says that this conflict will not be settled either peacefully or in the armed way unless the Palestinian state is created near Israel. According to him, the creation of the Palestinian state has both legitimate and moral and ethical ground.

"The position of official Baku on the Near Eastern conflict is a worthy response of Azerbaijan to all of our evil-wishers, who blame our country in the insufficient principality and the striving to be good to all.

Today Azerbaijan has demonstrated its principal position in the issue of the Palestine-Israel conflict proving that our country does not accept neglect of adopted international document, calls to respect the territorial integrity of the states as a priority moment in the resolution of conflicts between the countries and does not accept killing of civilians as a way of settlement of these conflicts. This is our fair position which must not depend on the existence or absence of ally relations of Azerbaijan with any country.

Moreover, Azerbaijan is not against Israel, it just calls for the fair resolution of this conflict", concluded the political scientist.
