Mubariz Gurbanly: "Azerbaijani opposition does not realize the importance of introduction of amendments to the Constitution"

"Oppositional press tries to give a false idea about the proposed amendments to the Constitution. They attempt to diminish importance of this issue by different means", said deputy executive secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan party Mubariz Gurbanly to the official website of the party.

He said all these attempts are senseless.

"One of the amendments to the Constitution is renaming of the National Bank of the country into the Central Bank. There are some inevitable reasons for that. In most countries banking system is called so.

But according to opposition, if the the bank is renamed, banknotes must also change. This is a ridiculous statement. It shows that those who spread this information do not realize importance of introduction of this amendment to the Constitution.

Renaming of a bank does not mean changing banknotes. If previously banknotes contained the word "national", later in the process of their withdrawing from circulation new banknotes will contain the word "central" instead of "national".
