Turkish community of England asks Turkish President to assist in Eynulla Fatullayev's release

The Turkish community of England has sent an appeal to Turkish President Abdullah Gul regarding editor-in-chief of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Eynulla Fatullayev, held in correctional facility No 12, said journalist's father Emin Fatullayev, reports Day.Az with reference to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety.

He said the appeal fixes request to the Turkish President Abdullah Gul for him to assist in releasing journalist Eynulla Fatullayev.

"Students in Italy are holding a campaign of collecting signatures to release Eynulla Fatullayev. About 1,000 students have already appealed to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

On the New Year eve postcards from England, Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Malaysia, Wales, Sweden, Costa-Rica and Belgium were sent to Eynulla Fatullayev", said the journalist's father.
