OSCE not to observe referendum in Azerbaijan

OSCE will not send observers to Azerbaijan to watch referendum to be held on March 18, diplomatic sources told APA that observation of referendum was not included in mandate of OSCE.
OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights observes presidential and parliamentary elections in member countries and recommends and assists the process.

OSCE did not include observation of municipal elections in mandate and therefore ODIHR will not watch municipal elections in Azerbaijan in autumn, 2009.
