Khafiz Hajiyev's party holds campaign of collecting signatures to support referendum in Azerbaijan

Muasir Musavat party has launched a campaign of collecting signatures among the population of Azerbaijan in support of a referendum and elimination of restrictions on election of one and the same person as a president for more than twice, according to party chairman Hafiz Hajiyev.

He said the collection of signatures is conducted both in Baku and in the regions of the country.

"We are planning to present the collected signatures to the Azerbaijani parliament thus demonstrating the positive attitude of people towards execution of the ideas about the elimination of restrictions on election of one and the same person as a president for more than twice.

Naturally, there are radical powers that are against execution of this idea, but we are ready to speak against them. If they hold an action of protest near the building of the Constitutional Court, our activists will also hold their picket at the same time and on the same place. Let people define which party they should follow", noted he.

Hajiyev also said that in connection with the collection of signatures the political party holds talks with separate parties for them to join the campaign of the Muasir Musavat party.
