Azerbaijani consul general to Saint-Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov arrives in Bashkortostan

Cooperation in the format of twin towns generates new projects and ideas and the contacts between Bashkortostan and Azerbaijan can be developed in such form, as it was stated at the meeting of the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Saint-Petersburg M-r Gudsi Dursun ogly Osmanov and Ufa administration. The Consul arrived in Ufa with the humanitarian mission by the instructions of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Russia Polad Bul-Bul ogly. Ufa administration was presented by the first deputy head of Ufa Mayor Vladimir Fedorov and the deputy Mayor Marat Galiullin. The guests were told briefly about social-economic development of Ufa and about its contacts with the world - about trade turnover, the main partners and investment cooperation. The Consul mentioned that Azerbaijan also made certain contribution to Ufa development: numerous Azerbaijani communities worked in different spheres of business, including building sphere. The Consul also informed that the inter- governmental agreement concerning cooperation in the format of twin towns would be approved in the nearest future. The instruction of Russian Government concerning signing the agreement about cooperation between Azerbaijani Government and Government RB is already to the fore.

Azerbaijan has similar agreements with several Russian regions, including Moscow, Saint- Petersburg, Kurgan region etc. The potential of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bashkortostan is great and the inter-governmental agreement and, perhaps, the joint work at the level of twin towns will contribute to its more complete realization.
