Presidential candidate: "The term of presidency must be reduced in Azerbaijan"

The election program of the candidate notes that the main goal in the sphere of state management is conduction of a constitutional referendum on the most urgent public issues and changing the fundamental bases of governing in Azerbaijan.

One of the issues of referendum will be the reduction of the term of presidential elections from 5 to 4 years, as well as the strengthening of the legislative and judicial powers to create a balance.

Aliyev considers it necessary to hold parliamentary elections by 100% proportional system, formation of the parliamentary-presidential republic in Azerbaijan and strengthening powers of parliament and government and establishment of a position of a vice president.
