Azerbaijan Democratic Party: "Society is passive about the presidential elections"

The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan held its regular session on Monday, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the party.
As is reported, the session participants discussed the sociopolitical situation in the region.

They also considered the recent decree of President of Azerbaijan about attaching Uzeir Hajibeyov's name to the Baku Music Academy. The party demands to take similar steps to return the name of Mamedemin Rasulzade to the Baku State University.

The session participants also considered the situation in the country in the threshold of presidential elections. They consider that though the start of agitation campaign has been declared, the society is too passive about the upcoming elections. The party calls on the leading parties to become more active before the election campaign.

The party also discussed the steering issues, especially, preparations to the upcoming municipal elections.
