The Muasir Musavat party, functioning in Azerbaijan, has collected the necessary number of signatures for passing registration in the Central Election Commission, said Hafiz Hajiyev, party chairman, who nominated his candidacy for presidential elections.

He said the party had collected 48,000 signatures.
"The party has created an expert group, which has already started checking the signatures. Perhaps, there are some inaccuracies in some of the signature lists, therefore, we are currently correcting them. The signatures will be submitted to the Central Election Commission no later than August 30.
We are planning to submit at least 46,000 signatures to the Central Election Commission", said he.
It should be noted that the amended Electoral Code requires collection of at least 40,000 signatures.
