Sardar Jalaloghlu: "International organizations do not show interest in presidential elections of Azerbaijan"

30 July 2008 [14:25] - TODAY.AZ
The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan will hold a session of Supreme Medjlis to define the format of participation of the political structure in the presidential elections on August 2, said party chairman Sardar Jalaloghlu.
He noted that it is currently difficult to specify the position of the party activists, regarding participation of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan in the upcoming elections.

"No decision has been passed on this issue yet. Exchange of views on the said issue will be held at the upcoming session of the party to be held with participation of city and regional organizations.

At the same time, it should be noted that preparations to these elections are too passive, as compared to previous ones. International organizations do not show any special interest to these elections.

The people's attitude to presidential elections of Azerbaijan determines the preparation of opposition to them. In this sense we carry out the work, which corresponds to the current state of affairs", noted Jalaloghlu.
