Center of Democratic Elections considers Rasul Quliyev's participation in presidential elections in Azerbaijan important

He said the session participants discussed the sociopolitical situation in the country, as well as participation of separate parties, represented in the Center of Democratic Elections, in the upcoming presidential elections.

According to Oruj, the parties consider it necessary to coordinate the activity of the parties, willing to nominate their candidate for presidential elections.

"In particular, we came to an agreement that political structures will make efforts for introduction of due amendments to the Electoral Code before the pre-election campaign, as the working draft law does not envision conduction of democratic elections.

Moreover, the parties consider it necessary to allow participation of ex-speaker and leader of the Open Society Party Rasul Quliyev. The Center of Democratic Elections considers it necessary to create equal conditions for all candidates and in this connection an appeal will be sent to the authorities", said he.

It should be noted that the Center of Democratic Elections includes the Classical Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Great Creation Party, Single Popular Front arty, Green Party of Azerbaijan, Great Party of Azerbaijan, Tekkamul party and Open Society Party.
