Center of Democratic Elections urges Azerbaijani opposition to cooperate

He said the session participants discussed the sociopolitical situation in the country, parties' plans regarding participation in the presidential elections, PACE resolution, as well as the recent amendments and alterations to the Electoral Code of Azerbaijan and the draft law "On Freedom of Assembly.

The parties, represented in the center, assess the recent PACE resolution as objective and reflecting the real situation in the country.

The session participants also put forward an idea to concentrate the activity of the opposition parties and hold a session with participation of leading political powers.

"Discussions with other political structures must be held until August 1 for the opposition to be able to attain any changes. We urge opposition to cooperate", said he,

It should be noted that the center of democratic elections includes Azerbaijan Classical Popular Front party, Great Creation Party, Single Popular Front Party, Green Party, Great Azerbaijan party, Tekkamul, Azadlyg party and Open Society Party.
