Governors of Colorado Bill Ritter and Kentucky-Steven Besher have signed declarations, announcing April 24 Day of "Armenian genocide".

"The state of Colorado joins the Armenian community of the United States to commemorate victims of the "genocide of Armenians" and assists to its efforts on informing about this frustrating tragedy so that we could be better aware of the importance to root out hatred within our communities", says the declaration.
It should be noted that Kentucky became the 41st state, recognizing the "genocide of Armenians".
