Lev Spivak: "It is necessary to create a joint commission to investigate murder of Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan in 1918"

The proposal to create a joint commission to investigate murder of mountain Jews of Azerbaijan by Armenian Dashnaks in 1918, put forward at the recent presentation of a new book of Azerbaijani professor R.Mustafayev "Tango of Death", was greeted warmly by the participants.

The due statement was made by Lev Spivak, director of the institute "JC public relations research". He said the topic was first studied by Azerbaijani scientist, professor of law Rovshan Mustafayev.

"Partners of our institute from Hague, Tbilisi and Bucharest offices of the international expert network R-Club initiated the development of the topic from the point of view of studying the model of regional security.

He noted that the proposal to create such a commission was supported by Knesset deputy Josef Shagal.

"The support of a deputy almost guarantees  that this topic will be considered at various levels and facilitates involvement of famous Israeli researchers, politicians and reporters to this project.

Lev Spivak also stressed that Israeli historical scientists also supported the idea.

"The idea was also approved by representatives of Khaifa, Netania, Ashdoda, Jerusalem and other communities, attending the presentation.  

"Considering these issues, we, anyway, come to the topic of Baku's new role in the international policy, as a large regional center on ensuring stable rates of globalization processes", he concluded.
