Dmitri Rupel: "It is necessary to develop relations between Azerbaijan and European Union"

APA reports that Rupel touched upon the role of the South Caucasus in the cooperation of the European and Asian regions.

D.Rupel stressed Azerbaijan's role pointing out the need to develop relations between Azerbaijan and  European Union in the framework of the European neighborhood policy.

Rupel's speech was dedicated to strengthening EU cooperation with the non-members of the European Union, which are the members of the Council of Europe. The EU chairman touched upon the problems of Serbia, Montenegria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.
