President of Azerbaijan invited to Moscow

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is invited to Moscow for participation in the unofficial summit of the Presidents of the CIS member-states, to be held in the capital of Russia on February 22.

The due announcement was made by spokesman for the CIS Executive Committee Vera Yakubovskaya.

She said the summit will be arranged upon initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Russian President invited his counterparts from the CIS states", she noted.

According to her, the CIS unofficial summits, usually focus on current issues.

"Therefore, the press service does not have any information on the agenda of the summit", the spokesman said and added that the exact information on the agenda will be declared in early February.

This will be the last summit of the CIS Presidents with participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The elections of a new president of the country will be held in Russia on March 3.
