Matthew Bryza: "We hope Azerbaijan and Armenia will be able to achieve at least an oral agreement on basic principles of the conflict settlement until February"

"We hope that the sides will be able to sign at least an oral gentlemen agreement on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict before presidential elections in Armenia", OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Matthew Bryza (United States) said while interviewed by Armenian “Mediamax” Agency.

“As mediators, we insist that the sides must prepare their people for peace and inevitable compromises! We also urged sides to refrain from military rhetoric. Fortunately, Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents, as well as OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are aware that new war can be disastrous for the whole region,” he said.
