PM Rasizade receives Russian delegation

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade on 21 May received the delegation led by the FM of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov.

Head of the Azerbaijan Government highly estimated the Azeri-Russian relations, actively developing both on federal and regional levels. Current visit of the Russian delegation will serve expansion of mutually beneficial ties, he underlined.

Prime Minister gave detailed information on the accomplishments in Azerbaijan's economy, stressing importance of the energy and transport projects being realized in region.

Sergei Lavrov, noting the friendly relations established between Russia and Azerbaijan, said they develop meeting THE national interests of both sides. Touching upon broadcasting of the Russian tele-channels in Azerbaijan, he expressed understanding of the Azeri side, informing that "in Russian, there is need for news from Azerbaijan."

At his words, there have been reached agreement on the opening in Azerbaijan of the branches of the Russian high schools – MSU, MGIMO. AzerTAg
