Deputy FM to attend CIS Foreign Ministers' meeting

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev has left for Astana today to participate at the meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Foreign Ministers' Council to be held in Astana tomorrow, Foreign Ministry's press secretary Khazar Ibrahim told.

19 issues will be discussed at the CIS Foreign Ministers' meeting. These issues include the agenda of the meting of the CIS heads of government scheduled for Yalta on May 25, implementation of the plan on multilateral ministerial talks in 2006 and its adoption in 2007, report by the chairman of the CIS Cultural Cooperation Council, the activity of interstate Council on natural and man-made emergency cases, draft protocol on affirmation of regulations on the cooperation of border and other services during crisis in external borders, draft agreement on qualification of personnel for interior bodies and interior troops, commander of collective forces for maintenance of peace in Abkhazia, next meeting of Foreign Ministers and other issues, APA reports.
