Georgia Patriarchate and Culture Ministry will express opinion on David Garedji monastery after Easter

05 April 2007 [19:23] - TODAY.AZ
"I have no idea about free tourism zone and I have not talked with Azerbaijan on establishing free tourism zone in the territory of David Garedji monastery," said Georgian Culture and Sport Minister Georgiy Gabashvili.

He emphasized that he does not know who spread this information. "As far as I know there is no free tourism zone in the world. Georgia Patriarchate and Culture Ministry will express its views on the David Garedji monastery after Easter holiday. I am sure the current Azerbaijan-Georgia relations will help two sides solve the problem without any bad results. David Garedji is a vital cultural monument for Georgia, and this moment must be taken into consideration during talks. Now the delimitation and demarcation process is going and State committees are discussing this," he told APA.
