Prosecutor demands 12-year jail for ex-minister

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

Public prosecutor Kamran Aliyev demanded 12 years of jail term for Ali Insanov with expropriation of his property, APA reports.

The prosecutor demanded 10 years of jail for Alexander Umnyashkin and Akif Maharramov, 8 years for Fakhraddin Abbasov, Eldar Rzayev, Anar Namazov and Parviz Kazimov, 5 years for Fuad Mahmudov, Shovgu Jafarov and Haji Aliyev and 4 years for Vekil Abbasov.

The prosecutor wanted the expropriation of the money and jewelries found in Ali Insanov's house, only preserving his apartment in Jafar Khandan street.
