ANAMA clears Azerbaijani territories from mines and ordinances

1,356,484sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territory were cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances (UXO) and 10,740 UXO have been rendered harmless in November, National Agency for clearing territories from mines told.

25 mine demining, 156 sappers, 47 UXO operators, eight paramedics, over 100 assistants and 12 mechanical demining flail participated in the operation.

79,971 UXOs were found and neutralized. ANAMA reports that any incident happened within last month.

As APA reports, 40,164,497sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territories have been cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances and 90,711 UXO have been neutralized up to now.

51 people died and 116 people injured from September of last year.
