Presidential pardon expected

Democracy and Human Rights Committee chairman Chingiz Ganizade told APA that the presidential pardon should be issued four times a year as per the regulations.

PACE co-rapporteurs will also release a report concerning the fulfillment of commitments Azerbaijan took upon itself before the Council of Europe.

Ganizade said that amnesty law is being developed at present. "This law is under discussion. Amnesty Law is expected to be adopted by early next year," he said.

Two presidential pardons have been issued this year.
