Iranian Azerbaijanis stage annual march to Bazz castle in Iran

The march aims at commemorating the national hero Babek Khurrami’s birthday.

As APA reports quoting Said Muganli, editor of newspaper "Yarpag", Iranian military units have established posts in all the roads leading to Kaleybar city where the castle is. The security forces prevent the march participants from coming together.

All the roads taking to the castle have been blocked by the Iranian security forces. Muganli said there is an unofficial curfew in Kaleybar.

The Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan refused to comment on the news saying to the APA that the Embassy’s press secretary is in Iran at the moment.
