Azeri FM received Kazakh Ambassador

Kazakhstan Ambassador to Azerbaijan Andar Shukputov has met with the country's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

According to KazInform, the parties deliberated upon further deepening and widening of bilateral ties, implementation of agreements, reached following the results of mutual visits paid by the leaders of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. In particular, highlighted was a need for vitalizing trade and economic cooperation, and activity of intergovernmental commission. Its last sitting was conducted in Baku at the close of April this year on the threshold of the working visit of Kazakhstan PM Daniyal Akhmetov to Azerbaijan.

The sides shared views on two states' interaction within the frame of international and regional organizations.

Kazakhstan FM Kassymzhomart Tokayev has addressed a message to his Azerbaijan counterpart extending gratitude for active support lent to Kazakhstan initiative on convocation of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICMA). Azerbaijan President Ikham Aliyev's participation in the II Summit evidenced the country's interest in expansion of integration processes and promotion of regional security.

Kazakhstan Ambassador congratulated Azerbaijan MFA on successful holding of the 33rd sitting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference, thanked for giving a warm welcome to Kazakhstan delegation which took part in the forum.
