Turkish MFA welcomes inclusion of Kazakhstan in BTC pipeline

Releasing a statement after an agreement was signed by President Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, the MFA said, "the BTC oil pipeline is the most important part of the Eastern-Western Energy Corridor. Transportation of Kazakh oil to world markets through the BTC oil pipeline will further strengthen the Eastern-Western Energy Corridor and develop cooperation and prosperity in our region."

The MFA added that the BTC pipeline was a concrete example of the regional cooperation in Caucasus and Caspian Basin.
