The "Savior" Samvel begs... Save him!

Samvel Karapetyan, who has been in the Yerevan pre-trial detention center since June following his conflict with Pashinyan, is now complaining… not to his cellmate, not to the ombudsman, but to the French Foreign Ministry!

A so-called hero, a fighter for all Armenians, a savior of the homeland and the nation — and yet, he's now asking to be saved himself. Karapetyan has sent a letter to French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot through his lawyer. In short, the emotional appeal sounded something like this:

“Jean-Noël, help me out, they’re bullying me here!”

There’s really only one question for poor Karapetyan in this situation: Why are you being so modest? What do you want with the minister? Why not go straight to Macron?

But then again… Macron happens to be friends with Nikol Vovaich. And that’s the real problem.
